Run 1: Stanley Park, Vancouver

10 October 2012

So this is the first day of my big trip away. As I run a lot at home I'm going to try and run in as many of the places that I visit as possible.

My running 'wardrobe'
1 pair black calf length leggings
1 blue t shirt
1 purple sports bra
1 pink racer vest
1 pair green shorts
1 pair of pink cross country trainers. I could only bring one pair of trainers in my backpack and decided to go for be xc ones as I thought they'd be more useful for walks/ treks.
1 blue 'baby g' watch. I have no GPS so I'm going to have to give up run keeper and use the stopwatch instead!

I've been in Vancouver for less than 24 hours have jet lag and a cold but still want to go out for a run so fuelled with some lemsip and a lie in I hit the road. It's not long till I'm running along the seawall towards Stanley park.  Run the whole seawall which is about 8km and takes in totem poles , beaches and several other runners, roller bladers and cyclists . Really pretty 'fall' colours too.

Time running: 1hour 26 mins

Best thing I saw: Autumn colours,  roller bladers and a film crew interviewing a cyclist

Worst thing I saw: grey skies
